Anna Maria’s Conservatory is a gathering of beautiful art from uniquely talented artists. They translate this art onto textiles so that you can create something even more beautiful than ever imagined! The Conservatory Chapters are presented in a collaborative spirit of color and form to inspire unexpected combinations. Chapter Two is named Portraits and contains 3 different fabric collections from different designers – but they all use the same colourway so are completely interchangeable!
Conservatory Chapter Two: Portraits contains these three collections;
- Souvenir by Nathalie Lete
- Second Nature by Anna Maria Horner
- Long Distance by Courtney Cerruti
Every Conservatory fabric collection has a Quilt Pattern that is sold only through select exclusive stockists (and we are one!). These quilts beautifully show off the individual collections and will inspire your next patchwork! AND, every Chapter has an additional pattern that uses fabrics from all three Chapter collections.
This product is the Long Distance Quilt Pattern and is a downloadable .pdf. The link to the download will be emailed to you in your receipt after purchase. If you don’t see the email right away, please look in your trash folder. Sometimes the emails end up in there.
With design roots in vintage sashiko quilts made from indigo fabrics, the Long Distance Quilt takes a simple approach to improvisational patchwork. Three 20″-wide patchwork columns, comprised of easy-to-piece geometric shapes, make up the background of this 60″ x 60″ finished quilt, and make it easy to increase or decrease the quilt size, if needed. Bright patches, inspired by colors used in Courtney Cerruti’s Long Distance collection, float over the background, and are hand stitched in place, leaving raw edges exposed for a beautiful human touch.
The quilt was designed by Anna Maria Horner and uses fabrics from the Long Distance fabric collection.
