A Brighter Future Month Three – Woven Logs Block Pattern
We are excited to announce an inspiring charity initiative, the "A Brighter Future" quilt project, where Sew Hot joins forces with Zarach, an organization dedicated to providing beds for children in need across England. This string pieced quilt pattern will create a vibrant, rainbow-themed quilt that embodies hope and warmth for every child. Proceeds from this quilt pattern will directly support Zarach's mission to ensure that every child has a safe and comfortable place to sleep, empowering them to thrive and dream big. With your help, we aim to create not just a beautiful piece of art, but a tangible difference in the lives of children throughout England. Join us on this journey to spread joy and comfort. Together, let's sew the threads of compassion and community, creating a quilt that promises every child a brighter future. Each month we will publish free patterns for a section of the quilt and have fabric packs available for you to purchase, with finishing instructions published at the end of the 12 month project.
Please donate to Zarach here - we suggest a £5 donation monthly for the patterns we will provide free of charge, or donate £60 up front for the whole project, which will be published monthly. We will also be donating 20% of the sales of the fabric packs - found here - to Zarach.

A Brighter Future Month Three – Green Fabric Pack
We have put together this fabric pack of 24 fat eighths of various reds and low volume fabrics in order to create the string pieced blocks for this month's patterns for the A Brighter Future quilt - patterns found here . This pack will make all 3 blocks in the red corner of the quilt, patterns will be released weekly for the remaining blocks. There is more fabric than is needed to make the blocks, but it gives the variety needed to give a very scrappy feel to the strings as with the blocks we have made. Fabrics may be substituted if we run out of one but will have the same number of lights/mediums/darks needed for the quilt blocks. 20% of the sale of these fabrics will be donated to the charity Zarach who aim to end bed poverty for children in England. Grab yourself a bargain, make a beautiful quilt, and help fund a worthwhile charity all at the same time!
