WHO WE ARE

We are Sew Hot Ltd, the owner and operator of www.sewhot.co.uk, a company registered in England and Wales under number 13345175 whose registered office is at 17 Moor Park Lane, Preston, PR1 6AS, United Kingdom.

These Terms and Conditions will apply to the purchase of the goods and services by you (The Customer).

These are the billing terms on which we sell all goods to you. By ordering any of the goods, you agree to be bound by these Billing Terms and Conditions.

INTERPRETATIONS

Consumer means an individual acting for purposes which are wholly or mainly outside his or her trade, business, craft or profession;

Contract means the legally-binding agreement between you and us for the supply of the goods;

Delivery Location means the Supplier’s premises or other location where the goods are to be supplied, as set out in the Order;

Durable Medium means paper or email, or any other medium that allows information to be addressed personally to the recipient, enables the recipient to store the information in a way accessible for future reference for a period that is long enough for the purposes of the information, and allows the unchanged reproduction of the information stored;

Goods means any goods that we supply to you with the Services, of the number and description as set out in the Order;

Order means the Customer’s order for the goods from the Supplier as submitted following the step by step process set out on the Website;

Privacy Policy means the terms which set out how we will deal with confidential and personal information received from you via the Website;

Services means the services advertised on the Website, including any delivery services, of the number and description set out in the Order;

Website means our website www.sewhot.co.uk on which the goods are advertised.

OUR PRODUCTS & SERVICES

Descriptions of our products: The description of the Goods & Services as set out in the Website, www.sewhot.co.uk, is for illustrative purposes only and there may be small discrepancies in the size and colour of any Goods supplied.

Product Availability:  All products which appear on the Website are subject to availability.

PLACING AN ORDER

How to place an order: Orders are placed through our website or by phone on 01253 370190. Once you’ve added the product(s) you’ll go through our checkout procedure where you’ll need to enter your contact details, delivery and billing information. Please check your order (e.g. the product(s), size(s) and delivery address) before clicking the “place order” button.

The description of the Services and any Goods in our website does not constitute a contractual offer to sell the Services or Goods. When an Order has been submitted on the Website, we can reject it for any reason, although we will try to tell you the reason without delay.

The Order process is set out on the Website. Each step allows you to check and amend any errors before submitting the Order. It is your responsibility to check that you have used the ordering process correctly.

Acceptance of your order: A Contract will be formed for the goods ordered only when you receive an email from us confirming the Order (Order Confirmation). You must ensure that the Order Confirmation is complete and accurate and inform us immediately of any errors. We are not responsible for any inaccuracies in the Order placed by you. By placing an Order you agree to us giving you confirmation of the Contract by means of an email with all information in it (ie the Order Confirmation). You will receive the Order Confirmation within a reasonable time after making the Contract, but in any event not later than the delivery of any Goods supplied under the Contract.

We intend that these Terms and Conditions apply only to a Contract entered into by you as a Consumer.

PRICE & PAYMENT

Where to find the price of the product: The price of the goods (including VAT) and any additional delivery or other charges is that set out on the Website at the date we accept the Order or such other price as we may agree in writing.

We will pass on changes in the rate of VAT: Fees and charges include VAT at the rate applicable at the time of the Order.

When will payment be taken? You must pay by submitting your credit or debit card details during the website checkout process or via alternative payment method such as Paypal. Payment is taken at the moment you place the order. We accept payment via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

What happens if we get the price wrong? It is possible, from time to time, that some of the products we sell may be incorrectly priced. If we accept and process your order where a pricing error is present and could reasonably have been recognised by you as being incorrect, we may end the contract. We will refund any sums you have paid and require the return of the products provided to you.

SHIPPING POLICIES

Delivery in the UK

Orders under £45 – For UK orders under £45 we charge a flat delivery charge of £3.00. We aim to post orders placed before 1pm the same day. We generally use Royal Mail first class post and delivery is within 1-2 working days. However, bulkier items such as large parcels of batting may be shipped by courier and can take 3-5 working days.

Orders over £45 – For UK orders over £45 delivery is free. We generally use Royal Mail second class post and delivery is within 2-3 working days. Please note we may send bulkier orders by second class post or courier so it can take 3 – 5 days for delivery. You have the option at checkout to upgrade to Royal Mail First Class delivery for a £3.00 charge.

Next day delivery – We offer next day shipping for a flat rate of £9.00. Our cutoff for these orders is 1pm, although we will make every effort to send orders placed after this time on the same day. If you would like to confirm that your order will be able to ship on the day of your order please ring us to confirm on 01253 370190. Orders placed by 1pm will be dispatched to arrive the next working day.  Next day delivery is not available on Bank Holidays or to the Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and remote parts of Scotland. Orders placed after 1pm on a Friday will be sent out on Monday.

PLEASE NOTE: Royal Mail delivery times are an estimate and are not guaranteed. Royal Mail does not consider a parcel lost until 10 working days (2 weeks) after the expected date of delivery. If your parcel gets lost in the post we will work with you to resolve the situation but we will ask you to wait until the parcel is considered lost before reshipping except in exceptional circumstances. If your parcel has not arrived please look around in the bins, sheds, and wherever your parcels are normally left and contact your local sorting office to see if they have any parcels waiting for you as they do not always leave a notification. 

International Delivery

We do offer shipping to many international locations.

All international orders are NOT charged VAT at checkout and therefore will be stopped at customs and the correct VAT will be charged for your country at that point. We legally have to declare all items in the parcel and the correct invoice total for the parcel.

Please note that this will mean a delay in receiving your parcel as customs can take 1-2 weeks to process a parcel, though it is sometimes faster.

Delivery to Europe & the Rest of the World

We charge a flat fee for European and Rest of the World delivery of £10.00. We ship via Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed or courier depending on the size of the parcel.

PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PARCELS RETURNED TO US DUE TO NON DELIVERY AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHARGE REPEAT POSTAGE TO RESEND THESE PARCELS. WE DO OUR BEST TO TRACK THE PARCELS FROM OUR END AND NOTIFY THE CUSTOMER IF A DELIVERY ATTEMPT HAS BEEN MADE, BUT THIS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED. PLEASE CONTACT US TO ASK FOR THE TRACKING NUMBER IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR PARCEL WITHIN ONE WEEK FROM POSTING. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN PARCELS.

General Information

PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE ENTERED THE CORRECT ADDRESS. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for parcels with an incorrect address and we reserve the right to charge repeat postage if parcels are returned to us due to incorrect addresses and you would like it reshipping. Please contact us immediately if you notice an error in your address and we will update this if your parcel has not already been shipped.

We do not deliver to PO Boxes due to sending via the Tracked and Signed service. Please contact us if you require delivery to a PO Box.

We post out orders Monday to Friday, orders placed after 1pm on Friday will be shipped the following working day. Please note in times of high demand, such as during a sale, shipping may take a little longer.

Unfortunately we cannot ship to the following countries: Aland Islands, American Samoa, Burma, Bonaire, Saint Eustatius And Saba, Bouvet Island, British Indian Ocean Territory, Central African Republic, Cook Islands, Comoros, Côte D’Ivoire, Curaçao, Equatorial Guinea, French Southern Territories, Guinea-Bissau, Heard Island And Mcdonald Islands, Johnston Island, Kiribati, Myanmar, Mayotte, Nauru, Niue, North Korea, Palau, Palestinian Territory, Pitcairn, Russian Federation, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Helena, Ascension And Tristan Da Cunha, Saint Martin (French Part), Sao Tome & Principe, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Georgia And The South Sandwich Islands, South Sudan, St. Helena, Svalbard And Jan Mayen, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Tokelau, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, Wake Islands, and Western Sahara.

When will we provide the products? The timing of delivery will depend on the delivery method you select during the website checkout process. Please refer to the delivery and returns page on the website or see above for further information about expected delivery times.

REFUND & RETURNS POLICY

Inform Us you wish to end the contract. Please inform us you wish to end the contract by emailing our customer service team directly using info@sewhot.co.uk. Please provide your order number and name for verification.

How long do I have to return my item? We offer a 14 day returns policy. Please refer to our Returns Policy page for further information.

Return Shipping Costs. Please note the buyer is responsible for the cost of returning the items to our warehouse unless the goods are faulty. Please refer to our Returns Policy page for further information.

LOSS OR DAMAGE TO GOODS

Our responsibility to you for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us. We have a legal duty to supply the Goods in conformity with the Contract, and will not have conformed if it does not meet the following obligation. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or our failing to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time the contract was made, both we and you knew it might happen.

Condition of Goods Upon delivery, the Goods will:

  • be of satisfactory quality;
  • be reasonably fit for any particular purpose for which you buy the Goods which, before the Contract is made, you made known to us (unless you do not actually rely, or it is unreasonable for you to rely, on our skill and judgment) and be fit for any purpose held out by us or set out in the Contract; and
  • conform to their description.

Origin of failure. It is not a failure to conform if the failure has its origin in your materials.

We are not liable for business losses. We only supply the products for private use. If you use the products for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose we will have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

COMPLAINTS

Any complaints about goods purchased or the website should be emailed to us at: info@sewhot.co.uk. There is no guarantee of a resolution. Each case will be looked at individually and we will be in contact.

LEGALITIES

The seller is not responsible for any health or safety concerns once the buyer has received the goods or services. If any harm is incurred from the items purchased by the buyer, the seller shares no responsibility.

Any dispute arising out of such use of the website is subject to the laws of England.
