Psychedelia is Jen’s ode to the swinging 60’s and the Psychedelic Art movement of that time.
There are two quilts featured in the book. Each with distinct features, set outs and divergent colourways.
Jen’s colour palette reflects the uninhibited, lively, and hip style of the era. An era where Lava lamps illuminated a counterculture where:
– Beatlemania changed music forever
– Flower power and tie-dyed t-shirts fashionable mingled with Miniskirts & Go-go boots,
– Barbie (Doll) was born,
– Bell-bottom jeans were cool
– Cars were adorned with Smiley Face and Peace Sign Bumper Stickers
Jen’s quilt is 72” square.
The cover features a quilt made by Linsee Patris. A sweeping cascade of colour, moving from the palest of pinks through to darkest of black. Linsee uses a very distinctive fabric choice. This quilt consists of 18 blocks some of which are repeat blocks. Finished quilt measure 221 cms x 165 cms (2 1/4 yards x 1 7/8 yards).
Alternatively, you could do something different to your quilt project making it uniquely yours. Psychedelia can be made into the designs set out in the book, with the There are 3 sashing options provided. Or maybe you can “sock it to ‘em” with your own groovy layout or colourway…“Piece Baby”!

Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are shipped the same day. Orders placed after 1pm Monday to Friday are shipped the next working day.
Please note that during exceptionally busy times (eg Black Friday sales, birthday sales, etc) orders will take longer to ship than usual.
We ship with Royal Mail both in the UK and internationally. Occasionally for international parcels over UPS we may need to ship with UPS or another company.
We charge a flat rate delivery fee of £3.00 for delivery in the UK for orders less than £45.
Orders over £45 for UK delivery qualify for free shipping.
International orders are charged at a flat rate delivery fee of £10 for shipping worldwide.
Next day delivery is available for a flat rate fee of £9.00.
Local orders can be collected. If your postcode is local the 'Local Pickup' option will be available at checkout. When you receive an email saying your order has been completed this is when it is ready for collection. Parcels can be collected Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
Royal Mail First Class delivery in the UK takes 1-2 working days on average. Royal Mail Second Class delivery in the UK takes 3-5 working days on average.
Royal Mail Next Day Delivery is delivered the next working day before 1pm (some conditions apply).
Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed takes 7-10 days on average. However, parcels are stopped by customs and can take several weeks to clear customs. Your tracking number will be added to your order when it is shipped so you should be able to keep an eye on where your parcel is in the process.
All international orders are NOT charged VAT at checkout and therefore will be stopped at customs and the correct VAT will be charged for your country at that point. We legally have to declare all items in the parcel and the correct invoice total for the parcel.
Please note that this will mean a delay in receiving your parcel as customs can take 1-2 weeks to process a parcel, though it is sometimes faster.
Please contact us via phone on 01253 370190 or email staff@sewhot.co.uk with your order number if your order has not arrived. Please allow up to 10 working days for delivery via Royal Mail, especially during busy periods.
We accept returns of unused, unopened items in saleable condition within 30 days of the order.
We do not accept returns of cut fabric as this has been cut off the bolt specifically for your order.
Please contact us on staff@sewhot.co.uk to let us know if you are returning an item. Return postage is not paid unless the item being returned is faulty or damaged.
We aim to ship all orders placed by 1pm the same day, apart from during busy sale times. Orders are shipped Monday to Friday via Royal Mail. A Local Pickup option is available at checkout for local customers. See the tabs on the left for more detailed shipping and delivery information.
We are always happy to combine, change, or add to orders to help you save on shipping costs.
However, we do ask that you notify us before 12 noon on the day your order is due to ship. After this time it is likely your order will have been packaged and booked for shipping, and we will not be able to change it.
