Serial Bagmakers have designed these particular front flap trim pieces to be used specifically with thinner materials and quilting cottons. They can still be used with leather and vinyl, not a worry – but have been created to only have a 3/8″ (5 mm) channel so your fabric will fit in nice and tight with screw holes in the back to secure them on tightly.

Instructions:
1.First, trace the metal trim onto your paper pattern piece.
2.Add the seam allowance by measuring with a ruler. Doing it that way you will have the most perfect fit and the perfect shape.
3.They recommend adding stabilizer and interfacing in your front flap so it’s a little sturdy.
4.Once the flap – or the piece where you will use this trim – is complete and turned right side out, dry test the trim piece for fit. Now you have time to adjust if needed.
5.Topstitch if desired.
6.Slide the metal trim on again and screw it in place. Do not punch holes for the screws. Do use an awl and let the screws go through the fabric. That is where the strength is coming from.
7.You can use a clear, fabric glue like Gutermann HT2 or E6000 in the channel to secure.
Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are shipped the same day. Orders placed after 1pm Monday to Friday are shipped the next working day.

We ship with Royal Mail both in the UK and internationally. Occasionally for international parcels over UPS we may need to ship with UPS or another company.
We charge a flat rate delivery fee of £3.00 for delivery in the UK for orders less than £45.
Orders over £45 for UK delivery qualify for free shipping.
International orders are charged at a flat rate delivery fee of £10 for shipping worldwide.
Next day delivery is available for a flat rate fee of £9.00.
Local orders can be collected. If your postcode is local the 'Local Pickup' option will be available at checkout. When you receive an email saying your order has been completed this is when it is ready for collection. Parcels can be collected Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
Royal Mail First Class delivery in the UK takes 1-2 working days on average. Royal Mail Second Class delivery in the UK takes 3-5 working days on average.
Royal Mail Next Day Delivery is delivered the next working day before 1pm (some conditions apply).
Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed takes 7-10 days on average. However, parcels are stopped by customs and can take several weeks to clear customs. Your tracking number will be added to your order when it is shipped so you should be able to keep an eye on where your parcel is in the process.
All international orders are NOT charged VAT at checkout and therefore will be stopped at customs and the correct VAT will be charged for your country at that point. We legally have to declare all items in the parcel and the correct invoice total for the parcel.
Please note that this will mean a delay in receiving your parcel as customs can take 1-2 weeks to process a parcel, though it is sometimes faster.

We accept returns of unused, unopened items in saleable condition within 30 days of the order.
We do not accept returns of cut fabric as this has been cut off the bolt specifically for your order.
Please contact us on staff@sewhot.co.uk to let us know if you are returning an item. Return postage is not paid unless the item being returned is faulty or damaged.
We aim to ship all orders placed by 1pm the same day, apart from during busy sale times. Orders are shipped Monday to Friday via Royal Mail. A Local Pickup option is available at checkout for local customers. See the tabs on the left for more detailed shipping and delivery information.
We are always happy to combine, change, or add to orders to help you save on shipping costs.
However, we do ask that you notify us before 12 noon on the day your order is due to ship. After this time it is likely your order will have been packaged and booked for shipping, and we will not be able to change it.
