Spring Forward

Finally, just when you think you can’t stand another day of dreary winter, Spring arrives! And, although the outside weather may not have heard the news yet, just knowing the calendar says it’s Spring brings renewed hope of warmer days, flowering plants and baby animals.

There are many reasons I love Spring… the bulbs flowering in the garden, green shoots poking through the bare dirt making promises of yellow daffodils and purple irises. Longer days to spend in the warm sunlight shaking off the winter doldrums and envisioning new projects to come. Spring is a time of newness and freshness, a time to finish up any wool and corduroy quilt tops that had been started during the last season, and to break out the colorful light cottons to create new quilts and other sewing projects with!
