Inspired by childhood summers in Japan with her fashion model mother, Rashida Coleman Hale is heavily influenced by the Japanese Zakka-style of sewing, with a mismatch of colorful, cute, and quirky things. She loves Japanese culture, and it really shines through in her work; a lot of her art has that funky, weird (the good one) Japanese vibe. Rashida’s style tends to be more playful and graphic, with a color palette that gravitates toward aquas, magentas, fuchsias, and metallics.
Pop! is a joyful collection inspired by things that go pop. So pop on a record, have a cold bottle of soda, and join in the party (don’t pop those cute balloon animals though!)
