Description
Tara Faughnan has done it again with another beautiful BOM Quilt designed with Windham’s Artisan fabrics!
The Roam medallion quilt is the perfect way to explore a beautiful harmony of colors and values, with a modern twist. Each round demonstrates a wide range of techniques that will build the skills of novice quilters and will be a fun play day for the experts. Techniques include traditional piecing, strip piecing and an easy no-tear paper piecing. With a full compliment of video tutorials and online learning support for all the BOM participants, Tara will share her tips and tricks for each step of the way, ensuring everyone has a great time and comes away with a beautiful quilt!
This BOM will provide you with:
- All the fabrics you need for the quilt top and binding. Fabric used is Artisan Shot Fabrics by Windham Fabrics.
- Roam Quilt Pattern

Finished quilt size – 82″ square
Techniques:
- No-tear Foundation Paper Piecing
- Strip piecing
- Traditional piecing
- Difficulty – All Levels
There will be video tutorials available each month on the Thinkific learning platform. All participants and will be able to create an account and access the video content there. They will include tips, tricks and technique demos.
The videos will expire at the end of the BOM program in January 2025, and are intended for paid participants only.
Schedule:
- The Block of the Month Club started 14 February 2024 and runs for 12 months.
- Months 1-11: Customers will receive fabric bundles and sew the round of the month. In month 11, you will also receive the binding fabric, although the actual finishing instruction videos won’t be posted until month 12 (January 2025) There will be 11 monthly payments, billed each month on the 14th.
- Month 12: Assembling and finishing the quilt
Cost: £26.00 per month plus shipping for months 1-11. You will not receive fabrics month 12.
Shipping: £3.00 per month to UK locations, and £10.00 per month to INTL locations.

Shipping & Delivery
Shipping and Delivery Information
Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are shipped the same day. Orders placed after 1pm Monday to Friday are shipped the next working day.
Please note that during exceptionally busy times (eg Black Friday sales, birthday sales, etc) orders will take longer to ship than usual.
We ship with Royal Mail both in the UK and internationally. Occasionally for international parcels over UPS we may need to ship with UPS or another company.
We charge a flat rate delivery fee of £3.00 for delivery in the UK for orders less than £45.
Orders over £45 for UK delivery qualify for free shipping.
International orders are charged at a flat rate delivery fee of £10 for shipping worldwide.
Next day delivery is available for a flat rate fee of £9.00.
Local orders can be collected. If your postcode is local the 'Local Pickup' option will be available at checkout. When you receive an email saying your order has been completed this is when it is ready for collection. Parcels can be collected Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
Royal Mail First Class delivery in the UK takes 1-2 working days on average. Royal Mail Second Class delivery in the UK takes 3-5 working days on average.
Royal Mail Next Day Delivery is delivered the next working day before 1pm (some conditions apply).
Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed takes 7-10 days on average. However, parcels are stopped by customs and can take several weeks to clear customs. Your tracking number will be added to your order when it is shipped so you should be able to keep an eye on where your parcel is in the process.
All international orders are NOT charged VAT at checkout and therefore will be stopped at customs and the correct VAT will be charged for your country at that point. We legally have to declare all items in the parcel and the correct invoice total for the parcel.
Please note that this will mean a delay in receiving your parcel as customs can take 1-2 weeks to process a parcel, though it is sometimes faster.
Please contact us via phone on 01253 370190 or email staff@sewhot.co.uk with your order number if your order has not arrived. Please allow up to 10 working days for delivery via Royal Mail, especially during busy periods.
We accept returns of unused, unopened items in saleable condition within 30 days of the order.
We do not accept returns of cut fabric as this has been cut off the bolt specifically for your order.
Please contact us on staff@sewhot.co.uk to let us know if you are returning an item. Return postage is not paid unless the item being returned is faulty or damaged.
General Shipping Information
We aim to ship all orders placed by 1pm the same day, apart from during busy sale times. Orders are shipped Monday to Friday via Royal Mail. A Local Pickup option is available at checkout for local customers. See the tabs on the left for more detailed shipping and delivery information.
Combining or Changing Orders
We are always happy to combine, change, or add to orders to help you save on shipping costs.
However, we do ask that you notify us before 12 noon on the day your order is due to ship. After this time it is likely your order will have been packaged and booked for shipping, and we will not be able to change it.
